Garlands Corner

Tazwell bound from Richmond, (Chip-my husband; Lexy and Zane-two of our four children; Uncle Garly-our "live-in" Minister/Nanny and myself) would pack up and each year (for three years)  we  would pick and sing to help the Jeffersonville Volunteer Rescue Squad with their Annual Gospel Sing Fundraiser event.  Joyce and Kenny (our friends) call to make sure we are coming…and we are!Then the next year, another call…"Would you guys like to open for Steve Warren?"  hmmmm, let me think! Oh and "Would you like to record one of your songs in Nashville on a compilation CD with Sims Records?" and hmmm, let me think some more! YES!!! So Cliff Adkins was promoting everything and helped us to get in touch with Russell about recording. "Glory Ride" was born and yes! Off we go. Our friends Mike and Barbara went with us so Mike could pick with us on the songs. He is a great guitar picker/singer and a great musical talent. Guitars in hand, equipment, friends and clothes packed in the RV and we’re Tazwell bound again!  What an opportunity the Lord has provided for us to sing for Him and to hear Steve shouting Glory too!  WOW!  Our kids Lexy and Zane were in charge of pictures and video.  Well, Lexy made video till the battery died and Zane took pictures of everybody at the concert,  us on stage, and Steve, and more of Steve, and Yes! One more of Steve! Zane really got happy!  If Steve needs extra shots, we’ve got ‘em. Our spirits were high and Jesus was In The House!Afterwards, came the opportunity to go to Hilltop Studio in Nashville and meet Russell Sims of Sims Records. And Thanks be to the Lord! We are now part of the Sims Compilation CD-Volume 31! Pssst!  I’m on track 4.  God is so good!God also opened the door and placed songs on my heart to record enough tracks for a CD of our own. The "Glory Ride" CD!  I am excited to say that it will be out sometime in April 08.  The Lord continues to bring great things to us and we are headed back to Nashville to work on our second CD..also in April!  Praise the Lord!  We’ll go where He leads! Do as He calls us to!  Praise Him in all things..good and otherwise for He knows best!It is a journey..it is a GLORY RIDE!!!
