| Nikki Headley Bio "Spreading God's Word One Song At A Time" Mother, wife, friend, songwriter, performer, and Christian…These are words to describe Nikki Headley as she enters national spotlight as a soldier for the Lord- singing her way into the hearts and souls of listeners everywhere. Music has been a part of Nikki’s life for as long as she can remember. God blessed her with a talent to sing and write and has called her to use her talent for HIS glory and the great work we are all commanded to do for Jesus-Save Souls!~ Her second single, “He Holds the Pen” is her tribute to the talents God has given her. Nikki has received top recognition in country and gospel music. It was in The East Coast Country Music Competition, singing a gospel song that Nikki won first place. In the next year, she took first place for “Entertainer of the Year” with a gospel song. An answer to prayer- God revealed His will regarding the musical ability He had blessed her with. She has been praising God both on and off the stage ever since. Nikki has been recognized by her fans and was voted as a TOP 5 Nominee by her fans in the King Country Agape Fest Fan Appreciation Awards for both 2010 and 2011. DJ’s from many radio stations have interviewed Nikki as her ministry has grown and she has made several TV appearances as well. Nikki’s support comes from family, friends and the unending love of her husband Chip, whom she refers to as her soul mate. It would be his prayer that God would help him learn to play guitar so he could accompany her. God answered in four short weeks. Together they continue to perform in many churches, retirement homes, assisted living and nursing homes, senior group meetings, coffee houses, benefits, county fairs, parades and many other organizations and venues for the “soul” purpose of spreading God’s word in song. Their ministry has been shared in many states such as North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia, Missouri, Texas, Ohio, Arkansas, Georgia and many places in their home state of Virginia. With God’s help, Nikki shares her gifts nationally through radio air play of her songs and the release of her first original CD, “Glory Ride’ which started on a compilation CD recorded with Sims Records in Nashville as her first single (titled the same). These original songs have been shared with many for years. Also from the “Glory Ride” CD comes a second single, “He Holds the Pen”, and a third, “Get Outta the Boat”. The new “Lead Me Lord” CD is available and includes more original songs by Nikki and Chip. "Dancing with The Angels” was released as the first single from the “Lead Me Lord CD. This song is near and dear to Nikki and Chip and was written about Chip’s grandmother Nell. Each single released has made it into National Charts and debut in the Top 100 with He Holds the Pen making it to #11 and Dancing with the Angels making it to #41. Because of the widespread of Nikki’s music and CD projects to radio, Modern Day Moses and All You Need have also charted both on radio and Internet charts in the Top 20. Nikki and Chip were blessed to have, for a season, their own radio show called The Gospel Showcase with Chip & Nikki on 1340AM - WHAP in Hopewell, VA -also online at www.1340whap.com/. This radio show allowed them to touch the hearts of many through radio with Southern Gospel, Christian Country & Bluegrass Gospel music. Most of the music played and several interviews have been local and nationally known artists and ministries that they have been fortunate enough to meet and become friends with. They feel strongly about supporting and encouraging each other in the business and this was their way to introduce many of them to the Virginia area as well as through the Internet. Sharing testimony and their adventures was also a favorite of the listeners. But most of all, they used this venue as a resource to celebrate, rejoice, and rejuvenate together in JESUS’ name. Nikki believes it is the strength, love, prayers and overwhelming support of everyone that is a part of her life that has helped her to where she is today and JESUS who has made it all possible.
